Flow
These art works are made in the form of drawings. They were created by reducing the form to only one element - line. When intertwining, these lines transpose (play) between full and empty space in order to create the illusion of the full form. The line is
interrupted with the margin. However it still continues it's path out of the painting’s borders and therefore is interrupted in it's tendency of forming the closed forms - circle and sphere. The Line, thereby, gets free from tension. The Illusion of motion changes the forms and empty space around it.
The inspiration for my artwork is gathered by observing the nature and the ways it controls our surroundings. The things which interest me the most are ways that enable human beings to discover the laws of nature - those which define the structure of life and ways of it’s existence.
In order to keep my focus on a single idea, the idea of movement and natural laws, as means of expression I choose line. The line represents a single unit of time that stretches and by doing that it defines a space. I am investigating this through a series of drawings and paintings, where I seek the possibilities in representing the empty and filled space, matter and antimatter, time and space and, last but not least, how these components can define the understanding of the space.
